Job summary

Leading A1 Main Contractor in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee safety across major building construction projects. The role covers implementation of policies, risk assessments and inspections on site.

You must hold a valid WSHO certificate and MOM registration, with at least 5 years of construction safety experience, ideally on large-scale commercial, industrial or high-rise developments. Competitive salary SGD 6,500–8,000, with AWS and bonuses.

Qualifications

• WSHO certificate and MOM registration mandatory.
• Min 5 years of construction safety experience, preferably with an A1 Main Contractor.
• Experience on large-scale building projects (commercial/industrial/high-rise).
• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and risk management.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor workplace safety and health policies across building construction sites.
• Conduct site safety inspections, risk assessments and safety audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive safety measures.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, preparing reports and corrective action plans.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and training for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Liaise with MOM, project teams and authorities on safety compliance and inspections.

Position: Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) / WSHO cum ECO

Working Week: Monday – Saturday, 5.5 Days per Week

Salary: SGD 6,500 – SGD 8,000 (Highly Negotiable)

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) Certificate and MOM Registration — Mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction safety experience, preferably with an A1 Main Contractor.
• Experience in large-scale Building Construction projects, including commercial, industrial or high-rise developments.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, risk management and construction safety requirements.
• Experience conducting site inspections, safety audits, incident investigations and safety training.
• Good communication, leadership and reporting skills, with the ability to enforce safety standards on-site.

Additional Requirement for WSHO cum ECO: Relevant Environmental Control Officer (ECO) qualification and registration, where required for the assigned project.
