Job summary

Eaton in Singapore is seeking an EHS Manager to drive field service EHS plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with regional leadership. You will implement MESH requirements, track EHS training, and support QMS initiatives across local services and offices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Science or related discipline is preferred.
  • Certified Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
  • 5 to 7 years of working experience in EHS, field service, project, electrical systems or contractor safety management.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, field inspections, incident investigation and contractor management is required.
  • Working knowledge of EHS management systems, MESH or equivalent safety management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of country EHS regulatory requirements applicable to field service, project and contractor activities.
  • Practical understanding of field service safety controls, including electrical safety, Job Safety Analysis, Lockout Tagout verification, PPE, contractor management and incident investigation.
  • Familiarity with customer EHS requirements and third-party contractor qualification platforms such as ISNetworld or Avetta is preferred.
  • Technical background in Power Quality and Distribution systems or field service work is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with local business, project, SCM, legal and regional EHS stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance business needs with EHS compliance and risk management requirements.
  • Strong safety culture promotion and employee engagement skills.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and follow up with employees, contractors and site stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to track actions, training, permits and compliance records to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the country's field service EHS plans, annual objectives and improvement actions in alignment with Eaton’s global Field Service EHS initiatives and local business priorities.
  • Support the Regional EHS Manager and country Malaysia leadership team in maintaining EHS compliance programs for local field service, project, service and office activities.
  • Coordinate with local business stakeholders, project teams and service leaders to achieve the country's EHS targets and objectives.
  • Implement Management of Environmental, Health and Safety (MESH) requirements and use MESH tools to support local continuous improvement.
  • Manage and track EHS training for the country field service employees and relevant contractors, including local regulatory requirements, Eaton standards and field service-related MESH requirements.
  • Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking for QMS; provide necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS; communicate the importance of conforming to QMS requirements; support achievement of QMS goals; engage and support individuals contributing to the QMS; promote a culture of continuous improvement.
