Job summary

Ho Lee Construction Pte Ltd / Wee Poh Construction Co. (Pte) Ltd is seeking a proactive Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) professional to lead site safety on construction projects.

You will enforce regulatory requirements, drive ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance, and mentor the WSH team to reduce risks and incidents. The ideal candidate is a Registered WSHO with ECO certification and at least 5 years in construction; for managerial roles, 10 years.

Qualifications

• Registered WSHO with ECO certification; at least 5 years in construction; for Manager role, 10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with government health, safety and environmental regulations; enforce all safety requirements and in-house safety rules.
• Achieve zero safety demerit points from MOM and other agencies.
• Continuous improvement on the EHS system through ISO 14001 and OHSAS 1800 management standards.
• On-site monitoring and conducting regular safety inspections on construction work sites.
• Identify and recommend best practices to reduce risks and raise safety awareness.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to WSH team on safety initiatives and changes.
• Implement pollution control measures and 3-R programs to safeguard the environment.
• Carry out training to all workers, staff and site personnel.

Job Responsibilities

• Achieve zero safety demerit points from Ministry of Manpower and other agencies.
• Continuous improvement on the EHS system through the effective implementation of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 1800 management standards.
• On-sites monitoring and conducting regular safety inspections on construction work site.
• Identify and recommend best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to the WSH team on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
• Implement practical pollution control measures, material wastage control and 3-R programs to safeguard the environment.
• Carry out training to all workers, staff and site personnel.

Requirements

• Registered WSHO and ECO with minimum 5 years of working experience in a construction firm. For Manager role, a minimum 10 year of relevant experience is required.
• Familiar with the safety, health and environmental legislations as well as risk management procedure.
• Familiar with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ConSASS and GGBS.
• Be dynamic, self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented.
