Job summary

NB Development Group is seeking a qualified safety professional to lead the site safety team on building and construction projects in Singapore. The role emphasizes enforcing the WSHO framework, coordinating with site operations and project managers to resolve safety and health concerns, and promoting a culture of safe work practices.

Key responsibilities include inspections, audits, incident investigations, and preparation for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits, with liaison to government agencies

Qualifications

• MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
• NEA registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building and construction projects
• Experience working on HDB projects
• Strong understanding of ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Willingness to work alternate Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Lead the site safety team and subcontractors to implement and maintain safety systems
• Collaborate with site operations staff and project managers to address safety and health concerns
• Supervise safety practices and promote safe conduct on site
• Inspect workplaces to identify and rectify unsafe conditions and prevent accidents
• Identify and correct unsafe work practices to maintain safety standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to detect hazards and drive continuous improvement
• Assist in reporting accidents and conducting investigations to determine causes and preventive measures
• Facilitate toolbox talks to communicate safety information to workers
• Support safety planning and develop site incident prevention strategies
• Assist in preparing for ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 audits for compliance
• Liaise with government agencies, insurers, and auditors on safety matters
• Perform duties under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act

• Collaborate with site operations staff and project managers to address all safety and health concerns promptly
• Supervise safety practices and actively promote safe conduct among all personnel on site
• Inspect workplaces regularly to identify and rectify unsafe conditions to prevent accidents
• Identify and correct unsafe work practices to maintain compliance and safety standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to detect hazards and perform safety gap analyses for continuous improvement
• Assist in reporting accidents and conducting thorough investigations to determine causes and preventive measures
• Facilitate toolbox meetings to communicate safety information and updates to workers
• Support safety planning and develop strategies to prevent incidents on site
• Assist in preparing for and participating in ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 audits to ensure compliance with standards
• Liaise with government agencies, insurance companies, and auditors regarding safety matters and compliance
• Perform any other duties required under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act

Job Requirements:
