Job summary

TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) in Singapore to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and manage HSE duties. The successful candidate will develop and implement HSE management systems, conduct inspections, and lead incident investigations.

The role demands a minimum of five years of safety management experience, along with certifications from MOM and SCDF. A background in manufacturing or chemical plants is preferred.

• Minimum of five years managing safety responsibilities in HSE.
• At least three years in manufacturing or chemical plants.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with SCDF fire safety regulations.
• Develop and review HSE management systems and policies.
• Plan and execute HSE training and awareness programs.
• Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and drills.
• Lead accident and incident investigations.
• Audit permits and risk assessments for compliance.
• Maintain ERT equipment and PPE.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to ensure full compliance with SCDF requirements on fire safety regulations, fire protection systems, and fire prevention management.
• Develop, implement, and review the company’s HSE management system, policies, and supporting documentation.
• Plan and execute HSE programs, campaigns, and training to enhance employee awareness and promote a strong safety culture.
• Conduct and participate in HSE inspections, audits, drills, and WSH committee meetings, serving as the Committee Secretary to coordinate activities and documentation.
• Lead and support accident and incident investigations, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Review and audit permits, safe work practices, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure operational compliance.
• Maintain and oversee the upkeep of the Plant’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer with MOM and a certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF.
• Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience managing safety responsibilities within an HSE department.
• At least three years of experience in manufacturing or chemical plants, preferably with exposure to Jurong Island operations.
