Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Associate's degree with 4+ years of experience or high school diploma with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, licenses, and management systems.
• Support development, maintenance, and improvement of EHS programs and sustainability goals.
• Conduct inspections, safety tours, audits, RA, JSA, and PTW reviews to identify hazards and controls.
• Assist with investigations of incidents, near-misses, and environmental events; close CAPAs.
• Manage EHS documentation, permits, training records, and emergency plans.
• Support environmental programs: waste management, spill response, emissions monitoring, and reporting.
• Coordinate with waste contractors and regulators for compliant operations.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, drills, and crisis management activities.
• Review facility modifications and MOC to ensure environmental and safety compliance.
• Monitor performance indicators and site objectives; report findings.
• Promote proactive safety culture through training and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support site license-to-operate objectives.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

• Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, permits, licenses, company policies, and management system requirements.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EHS programs, site compliance initiatives, and sustainability objectives.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety tours, compliance assessments, audits, risk assessments (RA), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), environmental impact evaluations, and Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) reviews to identify hazards and implement effective risk controls.
• Support incident, near‑miss, hazardous observation, and environmental event investigations, including tracking corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.
• Manage EHS documentation, permits, licenses, training records, compliance registers, procedures, manuals, and emergency response plans to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance.
• Support environmental programs including hazardous waste management, chemical management, spill prevention and response, emissions monitoring, resource conservation, and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate with licensed waste contractors, service providers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliant and safe execution of environmental and safety​‑related activities.
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities, including drills, exercises, fire safety programs, spill response readiness, business continuity, and crisis management initiatives.
• Assist in EHS reviews of facility modifications, engineering projects, management of change (MOC), and site improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators, regulatory commitments, site objectives, and improvement projects, providing timely reporting and follow‑up.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, training, communications, awareness campaigns, contractor management, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Perform other EHS‑related duties and projects to support operational excellence and the site's license‑to‑operate objectives.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

• BA/BS degree with any years of experience, or Associate's degree with 4+ years of experience, or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in Industrial Safety, especially in manufacturing facilities areas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of computer operation and MS Office Suite
• Ability to conduct Environment Health & Safety (local applications) trainings

• Knowledge of risk assessment processes and the ability to suggest suitable controls
• Experience in formulating cost‑effective alternatives for corrective actions
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
