Job summary

NCS Group in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the infrastructure team. You will manage Windows Active Directory, Nutanix, and NetBackup, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across enterprise IT systems.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, develop automation scripts, and document configurations while upholding security policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and managing Windows Active Directory Server environments.
• 2+ years of experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure or similar virtualization platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with NetBackup or comparable enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, storage management, and system architecture.
• Demonstrated experience with incident management and problem resolution in enterprise IT environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) practices and processes.
• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid IT environments.
• Preferred: Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator or Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Active Directory Server environments, including user management, group policies, and security configurations.
• Administer and optimize Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure platforms, ensuring efficient resource allocation and system performance.
• Manage NetBackup backup and disaster recovery solutions, including backup policies, recovery procedures, and data protection strategies.
• Monitor infrastructure systems and respond promptly to incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Perform system troubleshooting and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan capacity, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices to maintain organized and accessible knowledge repositories.
