Job summary

Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore is seeking a psychologist to assess and support children with special needs, develop individualized plans and coordinate learning and intervention strategies. The role involves collaboration with parents, caregivers and a multidisciplinary team in a Singapore-based setting.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, school readiness evaluations, classroom support, behavior analysis, staff training, and participation in research.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Educational / Clinical / Applied Psychology.
• Clinical experience with children and adolescents preferred.
• Conversant in learning, emotion and social development skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.
• Eligible for full membership with professional societies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of each student with special needs and develop individualized plans.
• Perform school readiness assessments, write interpretive reports and advise on school placement.
• Provide classroom learning support and behaviour management strategies.
• Monitor intervention goals and outcomes for individuals or classes.
• Guide staff and parents to implement holistic interventions and support.
• Conduct and/or support workshops for parents and staff.
• Participate in research and programme evaluation projects.
• Assist in department administration and inventory management.
• Undertake other duties to support the association’s mission.
