Job summary

GERMAN EUROPEAN SCHOOL SINGAPORE (DEUTSCHE EUROPAEISCHE SCHULE SINGAPUR) seeks an AV Technician to support all events in the campus auditorium and other venues. The role covers lighting, sound, and projection, with on-site technical assistance during performances.

You will train students in AV operations, work with staff and external vendors, and ensure safety standards are upheld while delivering high-quality events.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Background in professional theatre or education sector.
• Competency with computerized lighting consoles and audio mixers.
• Stage management experience is a distinct advantage.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 and Mac-based audio editing software.
• Experience with QLab.
• Experience in lighting design.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site AV and lighting support for school events.
• Set up and operate lighting, sound, and projection equipment.
• Train and supervise students and interns in AV operations.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors, and external freelancers.
• Maintain the control room, storeroom, and auditorium spaces.
• Ensure events are executed to a high standard and safety protocols are followed.
• Attend events planning and production meetings.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and upgrades.
