Job summary

UNSW in Sydney invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences. This Education Focused role supports high‑quality teaching in interdisciplinary science and leads the capstone subjects SCIF1000 and SCIF1001.

You will design and deliver learning activities, assess student work, mentor staff, and work with colleagues across UNSW to advance inclusive teaching and student success.

Qualifications

• PhD in a biological, earth or environmental science discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proven teaching design and delivery at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
• Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and commitment to educational excellence.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead course delivery and convening for interdisciplinary science programs.
• Apply a reflective teaching practice to inspire student learning.
• Teach, assess, and support students in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Design learning activities, resources, and assessment across courses and programs.
• Support student progression and create inclusive teaching aligned with Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
