Job summary

Public Service Division invites applications for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science at the School of Applied Science. You will contribute to curriculum development, deliver diploma modules and engage in applied science research projects, building strong ties with the biomedical sector.

The role requires a relevant Life Science/Biomedical Science qualification with at least five years' experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics or related fields, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Science or Biomedical Science.
• At least five years of relevant work experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Health Informatics and/or Omics.
• Experience with Generative AI, Data Analytics and Sustainability is advantageous.
• Strong industry links and exposure to related sectors.
• Interest in strengthening the institute’s professional network in Biomedical Science sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Teach relevant subjects in diploma and related programmes.
• Design and develop course materials for pre-employment and continuing education.
• Lead or participate in consultancy and research projects.
• Supervise students for projects.
• Mentor and track students’ academic and non-academic performance.
• Contribute to administrative duties related to the diploma course or within the school.
• Deliver planned curriculum for continuing education programmes on scheduled weekday evenings or weekends; participate in assessments.
