Job summary

Moody's Analytics is seeking a summer intern in Singapore to support the Asia-Pacific Economics team. You will source and analyze macroeconomic data, build structured datasets, and produce concise commentary for a broad audience.

The role offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to industry-leading forecasting and research activities. Ideal candidates are penultimate or final year in Economics or related fields, with strong English, data analysis skills, and an interest in AI-enabled

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Source, organize, and analyze macroeconomic and financial data for APAC research and forecasting.
• Build and maintain structured datasets from public sources or internal databases.
• Conduct analysis on custom datasets and produce concise commentary for a broad audience.
• Support econometric projects using EViews, R, or Python; expand programming skills.
• Assist in preparing content for publications and topical analysis by the Economics team.

Skills And Competencies

• Strong data analysis skills, with some experience using statistical software
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in an Asian language in addition to English is desirable

Education

Candidates should be currently enrolled in the penultimate or final year of a Bachelor's degree program, or the first year of a Master's degree program, in Economics or a related discipline.

The Economics team, within the Banking unit of Moody’s Analytics, is a leading independent provider of economic, financial, country, industry, and regional forecasts and research. The team supports businesses, governments, financial institutions, and investors worldwide through insights used in strategic planning, forecasting, risk management, sensitivity analysis, and investment research. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in macro analysis and finance. Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands‑on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight.
