Job summary

Rainbow Centre, Singapore is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the teaching team in delivering high-quality learning experiences and curriculum delivery under supervision.

This role is open to applicants enrolled in or eligible for the Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (SDESN). You will assist with lesson planning, resource design, and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, while collaborating with professionals, families, and staff to support the whole child.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• SDESN enrollment or relevant work experience is an advantage.
• Able to handle physical demands of the role including lifting and equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Provide Curriculum & Instructional Excellence.
• Co-plan lessons and design activities and resources to carry out lessons effectively.
• Deliver lessons and activities with appropriate teaching approaches to meet diverse needs.
• Adopt developmentally appropriate materials to create quality learning environments.
• Implement assessments to evaluate student needs and develop individualized objectives.
• Facilitate holistic student development and safe learning environments.
• Build strong relationships with students to support motivation and behavior.
• Assist with interventions using appropriate methods and assistive technologies.
• Collaborate with allied professionals and families for planning and development.
• Support centre initiatives and coordinate with community stakeholders.

Education

Diploma/Degree in related field of study (Psychology, Social Work, Human Services)
