Job summary

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of hotel facilities, including boiler, chiller, generators, pumps, and HVAC systems. You will ensure reliable services for guests and other departments, while upholding safety and maintenance standards.

You will coordinate repair schedules with other departments, implement preventive maintenance programs, respond to building-related concerns, and maintain guest rooms, public spaces

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to operate basic hand & power tools.
• Customer service orientation and safety-minded.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of equipment such as boiler, chiller, emergency generators, fire pumps, kitchen, refrigeration, HVAC/laundry and auxiliaries.
• Respond promptly to engineering and maintenance concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with other departments on repair and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain and supervise maintenance of the hotel, property, restaurant and grounds.
• Perform and monitor preventive maintenance projects and safety checks.
• Address building-related safety concerns and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures.
• Keep guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas well-maintained across trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, AC, painting, tiling).

Job description

• Ensure the efficient, economical and sound operation of equipment i.e. Boiler, Chiller, Emergency Generators, Fire Pumps, Kitchen, Refrigeration, HVAC/Laundry and the auxiliaries of these, etc.
• Ensure immediate provision of services necessary to guests and other operating departments.
• Ensure coordination with other operating departments in the implementation of repair and maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds.
• Respond to engineering and maintenance concerns.
• Perform and/or monitors maintenance and preventive maintenance projects.
• Respond to all building related safety concerns.
• Maintain departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures.
• Support hotel departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklist.
• Assist management in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operations.
• Deal with guest related concerns.
• Maintain the guest room, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
• Must possess knowledgeable of basic hand/power tool operation.
