Job summary

The Fullerton Hotel is seeking a hands-on Engineer to oversee the efficient operation of hotel facilities, including boilers, chillers, generators, pumps, kitchen, refrigeration, HVAC and laundry systems. You will respond to maintenance concerns, coordinate with departments, and ensure safety and compliance across all hotel areas.

You will perform preventive maintenance, manage daily/weekly/monthly checklists, and assist in procuring supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of boiler, chiller, emergency generators, fire pumps, kitchen, refrigeration, HVAC and laundry systems.
• Provide immediate services to guests and other operating departments.
• Coordinate with other departments to implement maintenance schedules.
• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, property, restaurant and grounds.
• Respond to engineering and maintenance concerns.
• Perform and monitor maintenance and preventive maintenance projects.
• Attend to all building safety concerns.
• Maintain compliance with hotel maintenance procedures.
• Support hotel maintenance programs and execute daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
• Assist management in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operations.
• Deal with guest-related concerns.
• Maintain guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas across trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, tiling).
• Must possess knowledge of basic hand/power tool operation.

• Ensure the efficient, economical and sound operation of equipment i.e. Boiler, Chiller, Emergency Generators, Fire Pumps, Kitchen, Refrigeration, HVAC/Laundry and the auxiliaries of these, etc.
• Ensure immediate provision of services necessary to guests and other operating departments.
• Ensure coordination with other operating departments in the implementation of repair and maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds.
• Respond to engineering and maintenance concerns.
• Perform and/or monitors maintenance and preventive maintenance projects.
• Respond to all building related safety concerns.
• Maintain departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures.
• Support hotel departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklist.
• Assist management in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operations.
• Deal with guest related concerns.
• Maintain the guest room, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
• Must possess knowledgeable of basic hand/power tool operation.
