Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage operation of chartered vessels from Handy to Panamax size and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely charters and voyages.
• Arrange owner-related port services, review port agency disbursement accounts and analyze P&L of each voyage.
• Issue operational instructions to vessel masters per charter party and maintain hire statements, freight payments, laytime and off-hire documentation.
• Review, verify and archive shipping documents and maintain records in the system.

Job description

• Manage the operation of chartered vessels from Handy to Panamax size, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of time charters and/or voyage charters.
• Arrange owner-related port services, review port agency disbursement accounts, and analyze the profit and loss (P&L) of each vessel voyage.
• Issue operational instructions to the vessel’s master in accordance with the charter party, and maintain accurate calculations of hire statements, freight payments, and laytime, as well as negotiation and documentation of off-hire claims, disputes, and performance issues.
• Review, verify, and archive shipping-related documents, and ensure all records are properly maintained in the system as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar role, with solid experience in Time Charters, Time-Charter-Trips, and Voyage Charters vessels. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Operations Manager position.
