Job summary

CENTURION BULK PTE. LIMITED seeks a senior professional to independently operate and optimize 9-11 dry cargo ships in the Handy to Ultramax segments, driving safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to deliver operational excellence, applying knowledge of charter parties, cargo commodities, and shipping software to daily operations across a flat, multi-office organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in a flat, multi-office organization.
• Knowledge of IMSBC/IMDG codes and FuelEU/EU ETS regulations.
• Basic technical vessel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate 9-11 dry cargo ships safely and efficiently.
• Optimize vessel speed and fuel consumption.

Established in 2013, the client offers freight services for all dry cargo commodities worldwide and operates chartered tonnage from single trips to longer periods. They specialize in Worldwide Chartering and Operations within the Handy to Ultramax markets.

Job Summary

You will independently operate and optimize dry cargo ships within the Handy to Ultramax segments, managing multiple vessels while driving efficiency and compliance. Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate 9-11 dry cargo ships (Handy/Supra/Ultra) ensuring safe and efficient voyages
• Optimize vessel speed and fuel consumption to improve operational efficiency
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and overall operational oversight
• Adhere strictly to maritime rules, regulations, and company guidelines to ensure compliance
• Initiate and lead projects of varying scope, applying innovative thinking to solve operational challenges
• Communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with global teams to support a flat organizational structure and multi-office coordination
• Apply in-depth knowledge of various charter party types and cargo commodities to daily operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working in a flat organization with multiple offices worldwide
• Knowledge of IMSBC and IMDG codes, FuelEU and EUETS regulations, and basic technical vessel knowledge
• Proficiency with shipping software systems such as Sedna, IMOS, Da-Desk, and WNI
