Job summary

LIAN HUAH ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking an Electrical Drafter to transform concepts into precise construction drawings, coordinating with engineers, project managers and site teams on commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will prepare detailed electrical layouts, SLDs and schematics using AutoCAD, maintain CAD files, and ensure drawings comply with standards, client requirements and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, ITE, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, Building Services, or related discipline.
• Experience preparing electrical drawings using AutoCAD within construction or building services.
• Good understanding of electrical installation drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices and drawing standards will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with REVIT or BIM coordination is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and document control skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical layout drawings, SLDs, schematics, cable routing layouts, containment drawings and other technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop, update, and maintain electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Revise drawings based on engineering instructions, design changes, site mark-ups, consultant comments and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, codes and client requirements.
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors and BIM teams to ensure accurate drawings.
• Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical and civil disciplines to minimize clashes.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain technical information and drawings.
• Assist in preparing technical submittals, RFIs and document control activities.

Your Role

As an Electrical Drafter , you will play a critical role in transforming engineering concepts into accurate construction drawings that support successful project delivery. Your expertise will help ensure electrical systems are coordinated seamlessly with other building services and disciplines.

What You'll Do

Produce High-Quality Technical Drawings

• Prepare detailed electrical layout drawings, Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematics, cable routing layouts, containment drawings, and other technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop, update, and maintain electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Revise drawings based on engineering instructions, design changes, site mark-ups, consultant comments, and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate CAD files, drawing registers, revision histories, and project documentation.

Coordinate Across Multiple Disciplines

• Work closely with Electrical Engineers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and BIM teams to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.
• Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil disciplines to minimize clashes and improve constructability.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain technical information, equipment dimensions, and product documentation required for drawing preparation.
• Support the preparation of technical submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and document control activities.

Support Project Delivery

• Monitor drawing schedules and assist project teams in meeting submission deadlines.
• Attend project coordination meetings, prepare meeting minutes where required, and follow up on assigned action items.
• Assist in preparing project reports, progress updates, and drawing status reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Supervisor.

What We're Looking For
