Job summary

Syntax Enclosure System Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Mechanical CAD Designer to prepare 3D models and technical drawings for structural and mechanical projects using CAD software.

You will interpret design specifications, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and maintain orderly documentation while meeting tight deadlines at Senoko location.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or other CAD software to create 3D models for fabrication and testing.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
• Experience with 3D rendering tools (Blender/Visualize) is an added advantage.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Job description

• Preparation of 3D models and technical drawings for structural and mechanical projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Supports design, documentation, and coordination with the engineering team.
• Interpret design specifications for structural and mechanical components.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, sales and project managers to ensure designs comply with local Singapore regulations and international standards.
• Maintain a well-organized filing system and ensure proper control of technical documentation and project records.
• Take parts in project meeting, design review, and improvement initiatives when required.
• Any ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Entry level or individuals without prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software to create 3D models for fabrication, testing and commissioning.
• Proficient in graphics rendering using 3D modelling software such as Blender, and Visualize to create realistic visualizations will be an added advantage.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering and architectural drawings accurately.
• Exhibits strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills.
• Able to perform effectively under pressure, managing multiple drawing releases to meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to address and resolve fundamental design challenges.
