Job summary

Grant Thornton Singapore is seeking self-motivated professionals to join the Risk & Quality (R&Q) Team and Data Protection Office (DPO) Team. This internal-facing role reports to the firmwide Risk Director and Data Protection Officer, focusing on audits, policies, and regulatory compliance.

The role supports data protection programs, risk management initiatives, and client service delivery with emphasis on GDPR, PDPA, MAS, AML, and CTF guidance. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance (law background a plus).
• Minimum 6 years in risk, compliance or data protection in professional services or corporate.
• Knowledge of data protection laws.
• Familiarity with MAS, AML, and counter-terrorism financing.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination and execution of data protection audits and reviews.
• Track and manage follow-up actions to resolve audit matters.
• Contribute to developing and improving data protection policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local and global data protection regulations (GDPR, PDPA).
• Support data protection incident response and documentation.
• Assist in risk and quality management initiatives across the firm.
• Deliver risk and compliance training programs.
• Provide advisory support to engagement teams on policies and regulations (MAS, AML, CTF).
