Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking talented Project Engineers to deliver Dynamic Positioning software. The role balances onboard software commissioning with office work, requiring frequent travel to vessels worldwide and close collaboration with the head office.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering fields related to cybernetics or marine tech, has strong English, and familiarity with C/C++ is advantageous. A hybrid working arrangement is offered alongside competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Dynamic positioning software commissioning on board vessels.
• Extensive DP software commissioning and testing on vessels (approx. 120 travel days/year).
• Dynamic positioning software engineering in the office and documentation production.
• Maintain communication with Head office and customers to manage pre-commissioning/commissioning, maintenance and operations.
