Job summary

SAA Architects Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Director of Transport to lead and grow the transport architecture team. You will drive major rail and transport infrastructure projects, steer design strategy, and ensure delivery from concept through construction in a client‑facing leadership role.

The successful candidate will shape proposals, maintain design quality, and guide multidisciplinary teams across authority requirements and commercial objectives. A senior, strategic leader is required.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of architectural experience, with focus on rail or transport infrastructure.
• Registered Architect or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; advanced degrees advantageous.
• Strong understanding of authority requirements, building codes, and transport design standards.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Experience with BIM and digital delivery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and direction for the transport architecture practice.
• Identify and secure major transport projects and lead bids.
• Maintain senior client and authority relationships and act as trusted advisor.
• Oversee delivery from concept to construction documentation.
• Guide design strategies, ensure design quality and compliance.
• Coordinate across architecture, engineering, MEP, and planning teams.
• Manage contracts, budgets, resources and risk.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing team.
