We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Director, Senior Equity Advisor – Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Director, Senior Equity Advisor – C15) based in Singapore.

The Equity Principal is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their job and the business. Recognized as a subject‑matter expert within one area, they exhibit strong commercial awareness. They are an acknowledged authority both within and outside their area of expertise. Typically, a small number of people within the business provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, and some external communication is typically required. They provide advanced judgment and conduct in‑depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. They think beyond existing solutions, assumptions, or current knowledge of sophisticated areas, and have a significant impact on a function and/or the business through decisions that determine technical approaches and strategies for the area.

Responsibilities

• This role is based within the Capital Markets Group, covering direct client activity in equity cash and structured products. The position will be as a member of the team involved in covering private clients directly.
• Part of the integrated client team, delivering ideas and investment recommendations as well as providing high‑quality tactical and portfolio allocation advice and execution to Citi Private Bank equity trading clients directly and indirectly.
• Actively develop a dedicated client base of 20‑30 long‑term accounts to achieve business revenue and service objectives. Identify client needs and objectives within overall investment objectives and match to service delivery capabilities.
• Communicate, deliver, and close on client investment proposals and new account pitches as part of the overall client team.
• Contribute scalable ideas that generate commercial value across the platform, including through cash and derivatives, and present these ideas in internal forums.
• Host client events, virtual roadshows, and large‑format outlook events to strengthen the Citi brand and deepen client relationships.
• Maintain a rigorous risk‑management approach with clients on their exposures in line with client risk tolerances.
• Ensure conformity with global firm standards of client service, regulatory, compliance, and operating model.
• Increase connectivity and engagement between Markets, Research and Citi Private Bank clients and staff.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• Bachelor’s/University degree (CFA is a plus)
• 15+ years of experience
• Extensive/proven sales and trading experience in equities and ideally structured products, including equity derivatives and light exotic products; excellent interpersonal skills to deal with both internal staff and external clients; self‑motivated.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills essential; strong IT skills essential; ability to develop strong working relationships across functional and geographical lines; ability to work to tight deadlines; fluent spoken and written English.
• Fluent Mandarin is a plus.
• Regulated role with applicable/mandatory licenses and/or qualifications.
• Mandatory certifications as required for advising on and selling financial products.
