Job summary

Health Promotion Board in Singapore seeks an Assistant Director, Operations Excellence & Programmes (Physical Activity) to lead, organise and develop the team to deliver outcomes across governance and programme delivery. You will turn strategic aims into actionable workplans, ensuring accountable leads and effective execution.

You will drive operational excellence, strengthen governance, and oversee multi-stakeholder programmes with a data-driven approach to improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or Operations Management, Engineering, Quality Management, Data Analytics, Economics, Public Health, Health Services Management, Exercise and Sport Science, or related discipline.
• Experience: 7–10 years in operations excellence and programme management, including leading a team to deliver multiple workstreams.
• Leadership: Proven track record of building and running successful teams with clear roles and accountability.
• Capabilities: Strong governance, process improvement, vendor management, and risk/quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and orchestrate two portfolios: operations excellence and programmes governance.
• Turn strategy into integrated workplans and deploy resources across teams.
• Develop dashboards and performance reviews to monitor operational health and service quality.
• Guide programme managers on capacity, budgets, timelines, dependencies, and risk controls.
