Job summary

Our client in Singapore is seeking a Director, AI to lead the data and AI capability build-out, operating at both technical detail and boardroom levels. The role will shape the AI agenda, oversee model development and team growth, and drive engagement with business stakeholders and regulators where needed.

You will define the AI roadmap, mentor cross-functional teams, and ensure responsible AI practices across governance, data quality, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related quantitative field.
• Extensive AI/ML experience including leadership.
• Hands-on with ML, DL, NLP and generative AI.
• Strong Python/SQL skills and cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI and data science strategy, translating business priorities into a roadmap.
• Lead the design, build and deployment of ML and generative AI solutions from PoC to production.
• Build, mentor and scale a high-performing data science team.
• Act as the primary link between technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
• Drive AI governance and best practice across the organisation, including model monitoring and data quality.
