Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH in Singapore is seeking a Cloud Computing Evangelist to lead engagement with the APJ cloud community and to tell Akamai's Cloud Compute story. You will partner with sales to bring customer voice into product development and help drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include building a customer-focused community, speaking at events, and educating regional teams on cloud, edge security, and AI at the edge.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience evangelizing and driving technology initiatives in the wider cloud computing community.
• Expert in Cloud computing and emerging Edge Computing models.
• Knowledge of Cloud & Edge Security across hybrid and edge environments.
• Understanding of AI inference at the edge for performance.

Part of Akamai's Cloud Technology Group (CTG), the Cloud Compute Team. The team's mission is to accelerate innovation by making computing simple, scalable, accessible and affordable for all. We provide the infrastructure and services that enable developers and enterprises to build next generation applications on Akamai.

Lead from the Front

In this role, you will lead our efforts to engage with the Cloud Computing Community in the APJ region. You will be a key voice in telling our comprehensive Cloud Compute story to customers. You will also partner with our sales teams to bring the voice of the customer back into the Product Development organization.

As a Cloud Computing Evangelist, you will be responsible for:

• Operating as a focal point for compute products within the region and assisting with Sales efforts.
• Developing a community of customers across the region that will provide feedback on Product Roadmaps and assist decisions
• Leading specific engagements with journalists and Industry Analysts in support of the PR/AR teams
• Speaking at events to discuss both industry trends within cloud computing as well as the Akamai Product Portfolio
• Educating the region's customer facing organizations on emerging trends within the Cloud Computing space

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, another related field or its equivalent
• Enjoy working cross-functionally with field teams, customers and partners to drive product strategy
• Be an expert in Cloud computing and emerging Edge Computing models
• Cloud & Edge Security: Knowledge of securing diverse workloads across hybrid and edge environments
• Next-Gen AI: Understanding of how AI inference leverages the edge for performance
• Have experience evangelizing and driving technology initiatives in the wider cloud computing community
• Possess an executive presence and the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Have experience building, managing and developing high performing teams
