Job summary

The Singapore Public Service seeks a strategic, hands-on data leader to drive enterprise data strategy across analytics, platform, and governance within the Singapore Food Agency’s Data Governance and Transformation Division. The role partners with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions and to advance data-driven decision making.

Leading the development of the enterprise data warehouse, you will oversee data exploitation, governance practices, and analytics

Qualifications

• Strong background in data science and analytics.
• Experience leading complex analytics or evidence-based policy analysis.
• Experience translating data into actionable insights for senior management.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms and data management initiatives.
• Public sector or regulatory environment experience is advantageous.
• Proven track record of multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Data Officer in driving SFA’s enterprise data strategy across data exploitation/analytics, data platform and governance.
• Lead development and adoption of the enterprise data warehouse and analytics platform.
• Oversee the Singapore Food Statistics and output dashboards, situation reports and inter-agency requests.
• Translate business needs into data products and system integrations with owners, users and vendors as needed.
• Drive AI and advanced analytics proof-of-concepts and coordinate with partners and users.
• Provide data policy and advisory support, including NRIC-related guidance and data exchange considerations.
• Strengthen data governance and assurance, implementing the Three Lines of Defense model.
• Implement data provisioning and reconciliation standards and improve data quality.
• Manage department budget and manpower resourcing.
