Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Director to lead AUD Rates trading in our Global Markets and Treasury department in Singapore. You will focus on market making for AUD and related pairs during Asian hours, closely coordinating with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities include market analysis, hedge strategies, and managing positions and executions within risk limits.

Qualifications

• 10Y+ experience managing an AUD/NZD IRS/CCS trading book during Sydney session with a proven track record.
• Quantitative degree in Finance/Maths/Economics or Engineering or equivalent demonstrable skillset.
• Strong in-depth knowledge of Fixed Income with focus on interest rate swaps/CCS.
• Proven experience building trading and risk management strategies.
• Written trading colour and presenting trading ideas clearly.
• Excellent networker, liaising with clients, sales and traders.

Market making and Risk Management of AUD Rates: Support the rates team in terms of our products JPY/USD/EMG/SGD etc

Job Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for AUD trading and market making to customer base during Asian time-zone
• Back-up other traders in the team [May be required to support JPY/USD/SGD/EM products as backup trader]
• Market analysis to implement hedge strategies
• Trading and managing positions and executions in compliance with market making obligations and risk limits.
• Liaise with various parties and departments [sales, traders, management, risk control, back office, IT etc] for issues and implement solutions
• Market Intelligence: have a clear view on the client segment, activity and industry trends to optimize and maximize revenue generation and client coverage.
• Convey market intelligence, relevant regulatory, legal, tax knowledge and issues to internal stakeholders, decision makers
• Teamwork & Cooperation: Ensure client business continuity, ensure effective teamwork within local/global requirements.

Job Requirement

• 10Y+ Experience managing an AUD/NZD IRS/CCS trading book during the Sydney trading session with a proven track record of success
• Quantitative Degree (Finance/Maths /Economics or Engineering) or equivalent demonstrable skillset
• Strong indepth technical knowledge of Fixed Income products with a specialisation in Interest rate swaps/CCS.
• Proven experience of building strategies for trading and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability of written comprehensive trading colour and presenting trading ideas and strategies. -
• Excellent networker who is comfortable liaising with clients, sales, traders.
