Job summary

UWCSEA East Campus seeks a Learning Coach for August 2027 with responsibility for Digital Literacy. The role combines teaching with pedagogical coaching to elevate student learning across the Primary School.

The successful candidate will lead the K–5 Digital Literacy Curriculum, coach teachers through structured cycles, and design high-impact professional learning sessions. Familiarity with Apple devices and digital safety is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification in Primary (K–5).
• Minimum of 5 years of successful Primary classroom teaching experience (ages 4–11).
• Proven track record in teacher leadership, coaching, mentoring, or adult learning facilitation.
• Demonstrated skill in integrating educational technology purposefully into K–5 classrooms (familiarity with Apple environments).
• Experience guiding teachers and students on digital safety, wellbeing, and ethical information use; knowledge of emerging tools (e.g., AI).
• Ongoing personal professional learning experiences and strong curriculum design understanding.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teachers through structured coaching cycles to enhance classroom practice and meet growth goals.
• Facilitate reflective dialogue and action research grounded in high trust and collaborative professionalism.
• Design and deliver high-impact professional learning sessions aligned with school priorities.
• Lead the implementation, vertical alignment, and horizontal integration of the K–5 Digital Literacy Curriculum across grade levels.
• Guide teachers in leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance inquiry-based learning; promote digital citizenship.
