Job summary

UWCSEA East Campus is seeking a Head of Libraries - Teacher Librarian to lead both strategic and operational aspects of the East Campus libraries and to assume Grade 6–12 Teacher Librarian duties, with an August 2027 start.

The role combines strategic leadership with everyday library operations, aiming to create future‑forward library hubs that support the holistic learning programme, champion diversity, equity and inclusion, and guide AI in education for scholarly inquiry and integrity.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Library Science/Information Management and/or a degree with a professional teaching qualification and significant library leadership experience.
• Proven track record of driving innovation in a library or educational setting.
• At least 5 years of experience in school libraries with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership and innovation to evolve the East Campus libraries.
• AI integration and leadership to enhance information literacy and curation.
• Oversee budget, resources, and day‑to‑day library operations with transparency.
• Collaborate across campuses (East and Dover) and engage with the parent community.
