Job summary

EPAM SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Java backend specialist to support production Java platforms in hybrid cloud environments. You will work with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable services across local and remote teams.

You will analyze logs, build and optimize CI/CD workflows, and participate in infrastructure as code and observability practices using Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stacks. A strong scripting background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting production Java platforms in hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on Linux troubleshooting in distributed systems.
• Practical knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and release automation (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
• Scripting in Shell, Python, or PowerShell for automations.
• Observability with Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, or AppDynamics.
• Cloud exposure to AWS or GCP services.
• Good understanding of Git workflows including branching/deployments.

Responsibilities

• Support Java (Jakarta EE, Spring Boot) multi-tier applications and troubleshoot complex service interactions.
• Analyze application logs and metrics to isolate incidents and prevent repeats.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Deploy applications on Cloud Foundry/OpenShift and container workloads.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automation to standardize environments.
• Operate monitoring, logging and alerting with ELK, Grafana and Prometheus.
• Coordinate release and change management with schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with development, QA and operations across locations.
