Job summary

Merqurio in Singapore seeks a talented DevOps Lead to guide the team responsible for automated deployments, reliability and scalable operations across departments.

You will build CI/CD pipelines, mentor juniors, implement monitoring and security best practices, and drive end-to-end release processes with a strong DevOps culture. The role emphasizes collaboration with Development and Products, hands-on cloud management (AWS/Azure/GCP), and staying ahead with Kubernetes and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of DevOps, Cloud, or SRE experience.
• Hands-on with AWS/Azure/GCP (AWS preferred).
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD, and Linux.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana or Prometheus; security considerations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development and Product teams to ensure successful delivery and fix build errors.
• Day-to-day monitoring, backup, deployment and maintenance of systems.
• Develop/build/maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Write scripts for service monitoring and health checks.
• Automate scalable systems/environments using Kubernetes and other tools.
• Automate security hardening in testing, deployment and production.
• Mentor juniors on setup, deployment and maintenance.
• Provide operating guidance, training and troubleshooting documentation.
• Offer technical insights for solution design and implementation.
• Promote a DevOps culture and drive end-to-end release process improvements.

Job description

We have a great opportunity for a talented and self-motivated DevOps Lead to join our team. You will lead the team in which together will be responsible for automated deployments, ensuring highest reliability and scalability processes for serving the needs of different departments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various teams that includes Development and Products to ensure successful delivery, maintenance planning and correction of build errors.
• Day-to-day monitoring, backup, deployment and maintenance of systems
• Develop/build/maintain continuous integration/deployment pipelines and automated testing to support high quality software build in a continuous build environment
• Writing scripts/programs for service monitoring and health check of systems
• Automate and build up scalable systems/environment using latest technologies (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Automate security hardening in testing, deployment and production setup based on industrial best practices
• Mentoring juniors on setup, deployment and maintenance
• Provide operating guidance, training and troubleshooting documents to internal and external parties.
• Provide technical insights for the design and implementation of solutions.
• Promote a Dev Ops culture through building relationships with Development & Operations and driving enhancements to the end-to-end release process (workstation to production).
• Continuously identifying new tools, ideas to improve whole process of Production systems. Strong self learning ability, motivation to work on new Technologies.
• Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of DevOps, Cloud, or SRE experience.
• Strong experience with AWS/Azure/GCP (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD, and Linux (Ubuntu/Debian).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Vault, or similar.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, microservices, and Kafka is an advantage.
• AWS Certification is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
