Job summary

Staffhub Group in Singapore seeks a senior civil/structural engineer to oversee design interfacing and coordination for architectural and structural works. You will chair design meetings, certify shop drawings and As-built documents, and manage variations with subcontractors and authorities.

The role requires proven leadership, a strong contractual mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

• Good communication with clients, design consultants, authorities and internal sub-consultants.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in civil/structural engineering or architecture.
• Preferably managers specializing in Civil/Construction/Structural fields.
• Self-initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare methodology and work sequences for architectural and structural works.
• Prepare interfacing detailing and coordinate shop drawings for architectural and structural works.
• Comment and certify shop drawings from subcontract works.
• Comment and certify As-built drawings from subcontract works.
• Chair and manage regular subcontract design consultation meetings (Architects/Structure/M&E/Landscape/lighting/security).
• Maintain contractual awareness to raise design variations for EOT and claims.
• Evaluate subcontractor design variation proposals.
• Correspond with regards to design matters.
• Resolve site technical interfacing matters.

Job description

• Working experience and authorities code compliance knowledge on D&B Plant building in Singapore.
• Good technical knowledge and experience in

Requirements

• At least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Managers specializing in Engineering – Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Good and proactive communication skills with clients, design consultants, authorities and in house D&B sub-consultants.
• Self-initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
