Job summary

GovTech is seeking a seasoned design leader to define and drive the experience vision for the Workplace Experience Programme in Singapore’s public sector. You will shape journeys across digital, operational and physical touchpoints and lead a design team with research capabilities.

You will partner with product and engineering leaders to set strategic direction, raise design standards, and ensure coherent, user-centred experiences that scale across programmes and platforms.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in product or experience design at senior levels shaping complex programs.
• Experience leading design for a portfolio across multiple teams.
• Strong systems thinking spanning multiple products, channels, and touchpoints.
• Articulate design vision to senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Establish and govern design standards and shared design systems at scale.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to shape direction and investment decisions.
• Balance portfolio direction with hands-on review and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the design team, coaching designers and leads to grow craft and leadership.
• Define the experience direction for the Workplace Experience Programme across portfolios.
• Champion end-to-end journeys across products and touchpoints, addressing fragmentation.
• Establish and govern portfolio-level experience principles and quality standards.
• Evolve the shared design system with product and engineering leadership.
• Drive cross-functional alignment, building partnerships with product and engineering.
• Shape workplace experiences for public officers across Singapore government.
• Define how multiple products come together as one coherent experience.
• Build a design and research capability with ownership over experience quality.
• Work with leadership to strengthen design's strategic influence on programme outcomes.
