Job summary

GovTech, within the Accountant General's Department, is seeking a Designer to oversee the complete design lifecycle for government platforms and digital products. You will focus on complex dashboards and integration workflows, shaping how citizens and public officers interact with large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of shipping digital products from research through to implementation.
• Portfolio demonstrating ability to simplify complex enterprise platforms or workflow tools.
• Experience elevating product quality through strategic design leadership.
• Proficiency in problem framing, user research, and communicating insights to drive action.
• Technical literacy regarding APIs, data-driven interfaces, and permission structures to facilitate effective collaboration with developers.
• Strong ability to present design visions to stakeholders and build consensus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design process for government products from initial concept to final deployment.
• Utilize user research and data to define product goals and solve core problems.
• Create and maintain design systems and patterns to ensure consistency across services.
• Build prototypes for complex technical products to establish quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and policymakers to align design with business and technical needs.
• Monitor and report on design performance metrics to demonstrate product impact.
