Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach core design elements and visual literacy to develop design thinking.
• Instruct on composition and layout techniques for clear visual arrangements.
• Demonstrate drawing techniques: freehand, isometric, orthographic, perspective and more.
• Explain graphic materials and manufacturing processes for packaging coursework.
• Operate and teach resistant material equipment like scroll saws, band saws, and forming ovens.
• Utilize ICT and CAD/CAM tools including Fusion 360 and Inkscape; operate 3D printers and laser cutters.
• Monitor progress and provide timely feedback for 50% of subject assessment weightage.
• Teach Computer Science at middle and IGCSE levels (Python, Java, Scratch, HTML).

Job Summary

Teach IGCSE and IBDP Design Technology (Graphics Products) and Computer Science, delivering practical and theoretical knowledge to develop students’ design, manufacturing, and programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach core design elements including line, shape, form, space, texture, colour, and typography to develop students’ visual literacy and design thinking.
• Instruct students on composition and layout techniques to create clear, impactful, and aesthetically appealing visual arrangements.
• Demonstrate and guide students in various drawing techniques such as freehand, isometric, orthographic, planometric, perspective, and sectional drawing to develop accurate technical representation skills.
• Explain and apply knowledge of graphic materials and manufacturing processes including printing, cutting, binding, finishing, and reprographics for packaging to support practical coursework.
• Operate and teach the use of resistant material manufacturing equipment and tools such as scroll saws, band saws, vacuum forming ovens, acrylic benders, and joining methods for wood and plastics to facilitate hands‑on learning.
• Utilize ICT and CAD/CAM tools including Fusion 360 Software and Inkscape, and operate 3D printers and laser cutters to enhance design and manufacturing instruction.
• Facilitate and manage coursework projects by monitoring progress and providing timely feedback to ensure quality student outcomes, covering 50% of subject assessment weightage.
• Teach Computer Science at middle and IGCSE levels, delivering programming instruction in Python, Java, Scratch, and HTML to build foundational coding skills.
