Deputy Manager, HR Governance & People Operations (3-year contract)
We are looking for a policy- and operations-oriented HR professional to help shape HR frameworks and people processes across the organisation.
This role sits within the HR Excellence function and focuses on HR policy governance, process design, and service oversight to ensure consistency, compliance and effective execution.
What You’ll Do
- Own and continuously enhance HR policies and governance frameworks to ensure consistency, compliance, and practical application.
- Interpret HR policies and advise on exceptions or deviation requests, exercising sound judgement within established governance structures.
- Partner with HR Centres of Excellence to drive process optimization initiatives and ensure data integrity, supporting effective dashboard development and informed decision-making.
- Contribute to HR policy-related projects, including system redesign initiatives, and support associated change management efforts.
- Provide oversight of HR service delivery channels to ensure responsive, user-friendly, and high-quality employee experiences.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to support smooth university operations.

- Strong policy writing, interpretation, and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of employment legislation and compliance considerations.
- Experience in public sector, universities, healthcare, or other regulated environments is an advantage.
