Job summary

Cordlife Group Limited in Singapore is seeking a senior laboratory leader to guide technical and operational aspects of our cord blood and tissue services. You will lead validation and integration of new products and processes, implement company initiatives, and scout potential technologies for growth while ensuring safety and endpoints.

This role oversees lab budget planning, ensures SOP and regulatory compliance, interfaces with doctors and clients, and provides training and development across

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical/Biotechnology or life sciences.
• Experience in stem cells, or genetics/molecular diagnostics.
• Project management experience.
• Laboratory and team management experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial/hospital lab and/or AABB-accredited lab advantageous.
• Hepatitis B immunization is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide directions and advice to Management, Lab Managers on technical and lab operational aspects.
• Lead technical and/or laboratory operational developments for validation and integration of new products, services and processes.
• Implementation of new products and initiatives for the company as directed.
• Scouting and assessments of potential new products, services, technologies and processes for the company.
• Evaluate processing data, ensure product safety, efficacy and endpoints met.
• Ensure daily aspects of laboratory processes are performed in accordance with SOPs and quality standards met.
• Responsible for lab operations budget planning, and implementation.
• Standards and local authority regulations.
• Responsible for lab operations budget planning, and implementation.
• Provide training and development, continuing education including speaking engagements.
• Oversee cord blood unit or other tissues releases.
• Interface with Doctors & clients when required.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager and Management.

Requirements

• Experience and strong technical knowledge in stem cells, or genetics/molecular diagnostics.


• Project management experience.


• Laboratory and team management experience is preferable.


• Experience working in a commercial / hospital laboratory and/or an AABB-accredited laboratory advantageous.


• Must be Hepatitis B immunized.
