Job summary

GVT Government Technology Agency is seeking a Deputy Director for Bus Information Systems to lead planning, development, implementation, and operations of mission-critical bus information systems across fleet management, passenger information, and data analytics.

You will drive digital transformation, establish technology roadmaps, and oversee cybersecurity compliance while coordinating with public transport operators and government partners to ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready systems.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in ICT, transportation technology, systems engineering, digital transformation, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and large-scale technology programmes.
• Good understanding of system architecture, software delivery, data configuration, data analytics, cloud technologies, and technology governance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Experience in public transport systems, operational technology, will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of bus information systems supporting public transport operations.
• Drive the digital transformation of bus operations through the adoption of emerging technologies.
• Establish and maintain technology roadmaps, system architectures, and operational standards for reliability and scalability.
• Lead vendor, contract, and stakeholder management activities with public transport operators, system integrators, and government agencies.
• Oversee cybersecurity governance and compliance for OT and IT systems in bus operations.
• Direct management of system operations, service performance, incident response, and business continuity planning.
• Leverage data to drive informed decision-making, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
