Job summary

SDC-SLM Sentosa Leisure Management Pte. Ltd.

seeks an experienced architect/designer to lead islandwide planning and development of Sentosa’s built environment, aligning with strategic goals and distinctive guest experiences. You will ideate, design, and oversee implementations from concept to delivery, collaborating with ministries, authorities, consultants and contractors, and preparing approval materials.

Qualifications

• Strong design flair and a creative problem solver.
• Registered Architect with Bachelor’s in Architecture; Master’s or Urban Design/Planning degree advantageous.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and BIM tools; able to produce visualisations and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design ideation, research, content narrative and feasibility studies.
• Conduct stakeholders’ engagements for feedback and project coordination.
• Formulate Design Brief and Urban Design Guidelines for planning and development.
• Work with ministries, authorities, consultants and contractors from inception to delivery.
• Prepare approval papers, specs and drawings to facilitate clearances.
• Plan tenancy works including land prep, marketing and design management.

Job description

[What the role is]

Overall Job Purpose Carry out islandwide planning, design and development of Sentosa’s built environment, in support of SDC’s strategic goals. The scope ranges from design ideation to on-ground implementation, contributing to the island’s distinctive identity and guest experience.

[What you will be working on]

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out design ideation, research, content narrative and feasibility studies to ensure SDC’s design approaches and execution are ahead of the curve in the market.
• Conduct stakeholders’ engagements to gather feedback and for project coordination purpose.
• Formulate Design Brief and Urban Design Guidelines to guide planning and development works.
• Work closely with ministries, authorities, SDC’s stakeholders, consultants and contractors from project inception, ideation to final delivery of the developments i.e. end-to-end integrated design management.
• Preparation of approval papers and related materials eg. specifications and drawings etc. to facilitate clearances.
• Plan, review and facilitate tenancy works spanning from land preparation, marketing exercise and design management, taking into account holistic experience planning and considerations.

• Strong design flair and a creative problem solver Enthusiastic self-starter and a good team player Design Thinking Appetite for learning and staying current with design trends and tools i.e. ability to use AI for visualisation and animation Excellent presentation and communication skills Efficient time management Registered Qualified Person under Singapore’s Board of Architects. Process a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Master’s degree of above equivalent will be an advantage. Relevant degree in Urban Design or Planning can be considered.
• Software skills - Autocad, Sketchup with real time rendering, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Microsoft Office suite. Video-editing skills are also expected. Familiarity in AI Architectural rendering software, BIM, Revit will be an added advantage.
