Job summary

GLORY DENTAL SURGERY PTE. LTD. in Katong is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinical and reception duties in a boutique 2-chair clinic.

You will assist the dentist during treatments, prepare rooms, take digital X-rays, sterilise instruments, and handle front-desk tasks such as check-in/out, payments, and bookings. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin is a plus. Singaporeans, PRs and foreigners welcome.

Qualifications

• Fluent spoken and written English; Mandarin preferred.
• Dental assisting work experience is advantageous.
• Local or overseas dental assisting qualification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the dentist during treatments and preparing rooms/instruments.
• Take digital X-rays for patients and sterilise instruments.
• Cleaning and maintaining dental rooms and supplies.
• Reception duties: check-in/out patients, collect payments, bookings, calls and emails.
• Support general clinic administration and keep the clinic orderly.

Job description

We are a boutique 2 chair dental clinic in Katong looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

Dental Assisting and Clinic Operations (80%)

• Assisting the dentist during treatments
• Preparing treatment rooms and instruments
• Take digital X-rays for patients
• Washing, packing and sterilising instruments
• Cleaning and preparing the dental rooms
• Preparing materials and supplies
• Keeping the clinic clean, organised and running smoothly

Reception admin duties (20%)

• Checking patients in and out
• Collecting payments
• Booking and changing appointments
• Answering phone calls
• Replying to patient messages and emails
• Helping with general clinic administration

Working Hours

• 44 hours per week (Monday to Saturday, 9am - 6pm, with a half day off on weekday. 1 hour lunch on full days)
• Able to commit to every Saturday full day, unless you are on annual leave or MC. Saturday cannot be used as your weekly half-day off
• Your half-day off is on a weekday. (The half day off can either remain the same every week or vary from week to week, depending on your preference and the clinic's needs. We will try to accommodate your preferred day while balancing the dentists' schedules and staff rostering availability.)
• No night shifts. No Sundays. No Public Holidays.

Who We Are Looking For

• Fluent spoken and written English, able to also speak Chinese/Mandarin is preferred.
• Singaporeans, PRs and foreigners are all welcome to apply.
• Dental assisting work experience is preferred. Local NITEC dental assisting certificate or overseas dental assisting qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum Ó' or 'N' Levels
• Positive attitude, friendly, responsible, reliable and willing to learn.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.
• Able to multi-task and remain calm in a fast paced environment.
