Job summary

POLYGEMS (PG) DENTAL CARE (SELETAR) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Dental Assistant on a fixed-term contract with a possible path to permanent full-time status. The role requires a 5-day workweek (~44 hours) and weekend work (Sat/Sun) with two weekdays off; interview will confirm final hours.

The duties cover chairside assistance, room prep, sterilisation, infection-control, stock, and general clinic tasks, plus reception and payment handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental clinic experience (at a single clinic).
• Able to assist confidently with most common dental procedures.
• Familiar with dental instruments, sterilization and infection-control procedures.
• Able to perform both clinical assisting and reception duties.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance for most dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials.
• Clean, disinfect and sterilise dental instruments.
• Maintain infection-control and clinical cleanliness standards.
• Assist with clinical stock and general clinic duties.
• Handle patient registration, enquiries and appointments.
• Manage calls, messages and appointment scheduling.
• Collect payments and issue receipts.
• Assist with CHAS, Medisave and other applicable payment schemes.
• Perform basic administrative and reception duties.

Work Arrangement & Schedule

• IMPORTANT: 5-day workweek, approximately 44 working hours per week.
• Work on Saturday and Sunday
• Two weekdays off
• Applicants who are unable to work weekends should not apply
• Final working hours and roster will be discussed during the interview

Starting as a fixed-term contract position

Candidates who demonstrate good performance, reliability, and competency may be offered conversion to a permanent full-time position

Job Responsibilities
