Job summary

AROMARA ASIA is seeking a Chef / Demi Chef to join our kitchen team at Bukit Batok, Singapore. You will prepare and cook following recipes and maintain quality and hygiene.

Responsibilities include mise en place, portioning, plating, and assisting with daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

We value independent workers who adhere to food safety standards and can work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Commis Chef, Demi Chef, or similar kitchen role.
• Good knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently on assigned kitchen duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and kitchen standards to ensure consistent quality.
• Handle food preparation tasks including mise en place, portioning, and basic plating to support meal service.
• Manage assigned kitchen duties independently with minimal supervision to maintain smooth operations.
• Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to support daily kitchen operations and meet service demands.
• Monitor ingredient usage to control portions and minimize food wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by following food safety standards and cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Check, store, and rotate ingredients properly to preserve freshness and prevent spoilage.
• Perform additional kitchen duties and operational tasks as assigned to support overall kitchen efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely food preparation.
