Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore is seeking to strategically plan SAF defence relations efforts with Countries of Interest. You will maintain an overarching view of engagements to ensure alignment with SAF outcomes.

The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and developing in-depth understanding of each country's strategic dynamics. The ideal candidate has education in IR/Political Science/History or Social Sciences, strong English skills, and a keen interest in geopolitical

Qualifications

• Education in International Relations, Political Science, History or Social Sciences.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Additional language skills are advantageous.
• Interest in current geopolitical developments.
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide rapid assessments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee defence relations calendar of events for identified SAF leaderships
• Coordinate with various internal stakeholders
• Assess implications of developments on SAF policy
• Develop deep expertise in each country's strategic dynamics, key issues, personalities and perceptions of Singapore/SAF
• Identify emerging trends
• Conduct research, synthesise information and present informed recommendations
• Prepare briefs and briefing folders
