Job summary

Rajah & Tann Asia seeks a Singapore-qualified Legal Associate to join our growing Debt Capital Markets practice. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and clients on a broad range of domestic and cross-border debt capital markets transactions across Asia.

The role offers the opportunity to advise issuers, underwriters, financial institutions and corporate borrowers on sophisticated financing and capital raising transactions, while collaborating with our wider Banking & Finance

Qualifications

• Singapore-qualified lawyer with at least 1 to 3 years' PQE.
• Experience in Debt Capital Markets, Capital Markets, Banking & Finance or Securities offerings.
• Strong drafting, technical and transaction management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise issuers, arrangers, underwriters and financial institutions on a wide range of debt capital markets transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation relating to international bond issuances, MTN programmes, straight bonds and other instruments.
• Assist cross-border debt offerings and coordinate with regulators, trustees and other parties.
• Conduct legal due diligence and advise on regulatory, disclosure and compliance requirements.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to thought leadership in capital markets.
