You will support dealing operations by executing client trades, handling market data, and assisting senior dealers with client interactions while focusing on accuracy and timely delivery.

Formación

• Interest in financial markets, equities trading, and stockbroking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.

• Familiarity with market data systems and trading platforms is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Manage transactions: ensure efficient and prompt management of orders, execution of trades and reporting of trades in equities and related products.
• Trade settlement: follow up on trade settlement, ensuring trades are entered accurately and promptly.
• Client servicing: provide high-quality service to clients, while staying updated on product knowledge and market trends.
• Administrative support: act as backbone of the dealing team via essential administrative tasks.
• Ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.

About the role

UOB Kay Hian is seeking a talented and ambitious Dealer/Dealing Assistant (Associate) to join our dynamic dealing team in the Fort Canning Central Region. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to launch your career in stockbroking and trading within one of the region's leading financial services firms.

In this role, you will support our dealing operations by executing client trades, managing market data, and assisting senior dealers with client interactions. You will be at the heart of our trading operations, gaining hands‑on experience in equity markets, derivatives, and fixed income products. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop expertise in trading and dealing whilst working in a fast‑paced, professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Management of transactions: Ensure efficient and prompt management of orders, execution of transactions and reporting of trades in Equities and Equities‑related products.

• Trade settlement: Follow up on trade settlement, ensuring all trades are keyed‑in accurately and promptly.

• Client servicing: Provide high‑quality service to clients, while keeping abreast with product knowledge and market trends.

• Administrative support: Be the backbone of the dealing team by providing crucial administrative support.

• Ad‑hoc duties and projects as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification

• Strong interest in financial markets, equities trading, and stockbroking with a passion for learning

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues

• High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a time‑sensitive environment

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines during volatile market conditions

• Proficiency with market data systems and trading platforms (experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar systems is advantageous)

• Strong work ethic, initiative, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities to support team objectives

• Relevant stockbroking or trading license (such as CFMAS licenses) or willingness to obtain these qualifications
