Job summary

Devopsroles is seeking an experienced technology operations professional to act as the first line of support for production incidents and service disruptions. You will execute recovery procedures using SOPs and runbooks, ensuring alerts are acknowledged and addressed within SLAs.

The role requires 5+ years in operations, knowledge of Linux/Unix/cloud tech, and strong ITIL/ITSM understanding. Shift work and on-call rotations may be required to support mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

• - Minimum 5 years of experience in application support, production support, command centre operations, service operations or related technology operations functions.
• - Experience supporting mission-critical applications in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• - Willingness to work on shifts, weekends, public holidays, or on-call rotations where operational support is required.
• - Knowledge of Linux, Unix, databases, middleware, or cloud technologies.
• - Strong understanding of IT Service Management disciplines including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.

• Drive adherence to operational procedures, governance standards, and risk controls.
• Contribute to operational reporting, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational discipline.
• Participate in knowledge sharing, cross-training, and capability development programmes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application support, production support, command centre operations, service operations or related technology operations functions.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Willingness to work on shifts, weekends, public holidays, or on-call rotations where operational support is required.

• Good understanding of payments business processes and domain concepts are preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management disciplines including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
• Experience with application monitoring, observability, and operational tooling.
• Good understanding of application architectures, middleware, databases, cloud technologies, and distributed systems.
