Job summary

HCLTech seeks a Datadog Engineer to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end observability across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and networks. You will leverage Datadog APM, Logs, RUM, Metrics, and Synthetics to improve system reliability, performance, and operational visibility.

Responsibilities include managing the observability platform, building dashboards, integrating with incident tools, and guiding teams with best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in monitoring, infrastructure, or application support.
• 3+ years hands-on Datadog across APM, Logs, Metrics, RUM, Synthetics.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP environments.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of observability principles including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Terraform familiarity; ITIL processes are a plus.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of observability principles including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Experience with Terraform and ITIL processes is an advantage.
