Job summary
APBA TG Human Resource Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a seasoned Database Administrator to install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle databases across Windows and Linux environments. You will monitor performance, optimize queries, manage changes, and ensure security and backups, with a team providing 24/7 systems support.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering and 5+ years of hands-on DB experience; Cloud RDS knowledge is a plus, and strong problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience troubleshooting database performance issues.
- Familiarity with backups, recovery, indexing, and patching.
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows servers and security delegation.
- Knowledge of Cloud RDS technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade database server software.
- Proactively monitor database performance and implement improvements.
- Manage database changes and provide status reports.
- Review database design for new projects.
- Implement and maintain database security.
- Respond to incidents and provide resolution for escalated issues.
- Work as part of a team and provide 24/7 systems support.
