Job summary

COMBUILDER PTE LTD is seeking a data analytics professional in Singapore to develop advanced analytics and data science solutions from structured and unstructured data. You will build and validate models for predictive modelling, forecasting, and text mining, while managing the analytics lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.

The role requires 2+ years in data analytics or ML, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience with Pandas, NumPy/SciPy, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost and PySpark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, data science or ML.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL and ML.
• Experience with data processing, feature selection and model validation.
• Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy/SciPy, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost and PySpark.
• Exposure to AWS SageMaker and Generative AI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the analytics lifecycle from requirement gathering and data scoping to deployment and monitoring.
• Work with business users, technical teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Support analytics workshops, project meetings and client discussions.
• Prepare user requirements, technical documentation, data artefacts and client-ready deliverables.
• Apply software development best practices, including documentation, version control and testing.
• Contribute to reusable templates, analytical frameworks, reports and presentation materials.
• Drive assigned workstreams independently in a fast-paced project environment.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics, data science or machine learning.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python, SQL, Machine Learning and Data Analytics.
• Experience in data processing, feature selection, hyperparameter optimization, model validation and visualization.
• Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy/SciPy, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost and PySpark.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker will be advantageous.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLM, RAG, document intelligence or conversational analytics will be advantageous.
• Experience in data engineering, ETL, data pipelines or data warehouses will be advantageous.
• Familiar with Git, code reviews, CI/CD and test-driven development.
• Prior experience in Government, public-sector or defence-related projects will be highly advantageous.
• Candidates eligible for MSD Security Clearance CAT 1 will be strongly preferred.
• Good communication skills and able to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
